  • The Integrator (COO) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the effective execution of operational strategies to achieve the goals and objectives of the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. Reporting directly to the Visionary (CEO), the Integrator oversees and supports the heads of the following departments: facilities, people operations (HR), events, finance, entrepreneurial operations and marketing. This role ensures that each department head effectively manages their department, facilitates growth, and aligns with the organization’s vision.

  • The Director of Sales and Events is instrumental in ensuring consistent and effective internal processes and communications designed to strengthen the Grand Rapids Downtown Market's private and public events, sales, and beverage programs. This role focuses on leading and directing all event sales efforts, ensuring that sales goals are met, while also overseeing the execution of private and public event programs. The Director will oversee a team that includes the private events and beverage manager,  and event sales. This position will report directly to the Integrator (COO).

  • Under the direction of the Director of Sales and Events, the Private Event Sales Specialist will focus primarily on selling event spaces for events such as corporate and social events. This role involves proactive sales efforts, including outside sales and relationship building, to drive event bookings.

Market Hall Opportunities

The artisan businesses that make up the Market Hall have open positions for front of house, part time prep, back of house, kitchen, and more. Be a part of a constantly growing food community!

  • This unique position handles both online order fulfillment out of our Grand Rapids store, as well as assists with sales and customer service activities for the retail sales floor. This position reports to the Retail Store Manager, with online marketing and product information guidance from the Director of Marketing.

  • Old World Olive Co. is seeking a part-time sales associate to join our team at our downtown Grand Rapids location. We're searching for individuals who share our passion for food, enjoy interacting with people, and take pride in providing exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase our unique products and create memorable shopping experiences for our customers.

    We're seeking team players who can work both collaboratively and independently as required. This role offers flexibility, with hours ranging from 15 to 20+ per week. Additionally, candidates must be available for two weekends per month and some early evenings. Our store operates Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 7 pm, Friday 11 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 7 pm.

    Front Food Runner: Preparing the orders and keeping the kitchen staff informed of when items are running low.
