What are your holiday hours?

The Downtown Market is open 361 days a year! We are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Is there an ATM at the Market?

Yes, the ATM is located outside on the front terrace, next to the main entrance.

Are there areas to store my bags while I shop?

We encourage you to bring shopping bags (reusable of course), as there are no food lockers at the Market. We do have small shopping carts and baskets you can use.

Where can I sit, relax, kick up my heels and eat?

Head upstairs to the second floor. We have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Where are the restrooms?

Both the men’s and women’s restrooms are located on the second floor.

Where can I park?

The Downtown Market has its own parking lot.

Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes; we currently offer $10 and $25 denominations that can be used in the Market Hall, at either sit-down restaurant, or towards classes and merchandise. They're available for purchase at our Market administrative office, over the phone, or online.

How can I become a volunteer?

Do you have parking spaces that are accessible?

You better believe it! Handicap parking/access is located along the west side of the building. There are additional ramps at the north end of the Market Shed, off Ionia near the Terrace, between the north terrace and parking lot, and near the west entrance. Learn more here.

Do you have bike racks?

Bike racks are located next to the building on Ionia Avenue and along the west side of the building.

Where does the bus stop?

The Rapid Transit bus system has a stop on Ionia near the parking lot entrance. The Silver Line stops just a block away, straight up McConnell Street on Division. Learn more here.

If I rent a space, do I have to bring my own A/V?

Our conference rooms, banquet space, and teaching kitchen offer state of the art A/V systems to suit any events' needs. Microphones, smart TV's, built in sound and projection, and full wireless connectivity are only some of the options available.

How can I book my event at the Market?

We recommend that you contact us for a visit, and we’ll tour you around our spaces. We’ll even help you determine what area works best for you. From there, we will answer any and all questions and provide you with additional information to confirm the details. Click here.

How do I know there will be enough parking for my guests?

Please inquire for pre-paid reserved spaces for guests of an event.

Do you allow events in the Greenhouse?

We do! Our Greenhouse is a year-round event space. How cool is that?

Do you allow filming or photography shoots at the Market?
