Chef Michael Alexander, from 4GR8 Food Group, shares the benefits of building meaningful relationships with peers and vendors in the food and restaurant community.
ABOUT MICHAEL ALEXANDER:
Michael Alexander’s culinary path begin at a young age working in many restaurants owned and operated by family. From there he attended the San Diego Culinary Institute. While in Southern California he specialized in Classic and Nouveau French Cuisine. His professional success has continued to grow back in Michigan as the Executive Chef for Cannonsburg Village and the Honey Creek Inn. Chef Michael is now the Corporate Chef and Director of Concept Development for Restaurant Partners Management, which owns and operates 20 restaurants in West Michigan and Traverse City. He specializes Classic and Nouveau French, Latin American, and Modern Gastropub cuisine. Throughout the years he has received numerous culinary awards such as 40 under 40 Chef’s Southern California, Chef of the Year Traverse City 2010 and 2012, and the Cascade Iron Chef in 2016 and 2017. Outside the kitchen, Chef Michael enjoys traveling to Mexico to culinary hotspots to sample food and absorb the culture with his wife Eva and their 4 year old son, Oliver.
